Travel Purpose: business

Positive: A very nice villa with a great view, lots of space and a pool. There are 3 levels in this house. The basement and ground floor featuring a living room, a bedroom and bathroom, while the top one has got acces to the top terrace and a small balcony. The bathroom at the top floor is rather unusual but interesting consisting of an "open shower" if I can name it like that... and a lavatory (sink). Then, next to it, a separate room containing a toilet and a sink again.... I mention this because although my daughters chose that room, my elder one didn't wat to shower there, as it was like an open space.... At the middle of our stay, somebody came in and changed towels and took the garbage as we wee not in.

Negative: First of all this villa is administrated by a company in UK. So unlike all our other Greek holidays, after I paid, we had only a contact in Great Britain and we were asked to register on their website with names, pasport numbers.... and 2 days prior to out departure, I received an email it was not possible to finish my check in because I didn't mention the flight details. I had to call two times in England to mentioning we'll arrive by car. Although the house had mostly in it, we missed a few things, e. g. for the laundry washing machine we could find no detergent. Maybe we were a bit unlucky and the days were not so hot (it was in the last days of August and first days of Sept), so the house, being situated on a hill, a rather cold wind was blowing from SW. The pool is not heated so water felt rather cold and during evenings we couldn't really enjoy the poll as we did in other places in the past. First it seemed we had all the intimacy, but after 2 days the things changed. Very close to this unit was the Melivaro villa if I remember well. Where a group of Bulgarians moved in and during several nights they used to play music and talk quite loud. One last remark. We got there first time at 4 o'clock in the morning, dark outside. Google Maps made a route from the centre of Tsoukalades over the hill straight to the villa, but this was an unpaved road and very steep. For a few tens of meters it was dirt road mixed with gravel, quite big stones, I don't recommend. We were lucky to have a 4x4 with a higher clearance. There is the paved road from the other side facing no problem, we used this one afterwards in all other days.
